Qualitative Data Analysis with Taguette
Qualitative research is a powerful tool both for those working libraries and researchers in their patron communities. Qualitative data analysis software can facilitate this research, but major tools such as Atlas.ti, NVivo, and MAXQDA require major investments of time and financial resources, putting such tools out of the reach of many libraries developing infrastructure to support qualitative research. In this webinar, I’ll introduce and demonstrate a new and open source tool for qualitative data analysis, Taguette. With Taguette, researchers can collaboratively code text data and export coded data for further analysis in spreadsheets or other software. The webinar will be hands-on for attendees who would like to test out Taguette as we collaboratively code and analyze a demonstration data set and discuss how we can report the results of our analysis in research and reports.
