Homelands: Historical Research & Legal Advocacy for Tribal Sovereignty over Natural Resources
In this panel discussion, we will hear from three distinguished speakers whose work in historical research and legal advocacy supports Tribal sovereignty and self-determination in relation to natural resource management. This panel discussion is part of a CHE research group around environmental history and energy justice on the northern Great Plains led by Dr. Grace Bulltail, and is presented in partnership with the Indigenous Environment and Science Working Group. The panelists are Dr. Michael Lawson, Gussie Lord, and Dr. Angela Parker, and the event will be moderated by Caroline Griffith.
